The Geelong Environment Council Inc. (GEC) was formed in 1972 to assist in the protection of the environment in and around Geelong. GEC is one of Australia's earliest established, continuously running, independently incorporated community-based environmental organisations. We have been involved in founding the "Save the Otway's" campaign in the early 1970's and were pivotal in lobbying for the creation of the Great Otway National Park along the Great Ocean Road immediately to the west of Geelong. GEC is a community voice for your environment. In a time of political, social, climate and environmental uncertainty, we aim at creating awarness of the aspects that make this section of our planet so special.

Your financial support enables us to advocate strongly for the environment.

$30 single / family, $20 concession, $50 corporate.

Meetings are held twice monthly (1st & 3rd Thursday) at the GEC rooms in Highton.

New members are welcome. Please contact GEC if you are able to join the committee or become a member and assist in environmental protection and enhancement in the Geelong region.
